Teach your puppy right from wrong

In the disorganised mind of a puppy, everything is a game, and rules are there to be broken! And as we mentioned, bringing them into the structured environment of your family home can feel daunting. But just like we all had to learn our ABCs, puppies need to be taught the basics if they are going to fit in and become the best friends and companions we want them to be.

Taking your pup to puppy training will help you and your dog learn faster and smarter. Our expert trainers have the knowledge and tricks when everything you've tried has failed.

As your puppy learns the basics of obedience and house training, they'll mix, socialise, and learn many things they'll need to overcome to become happy and well-adjusted dogs. As puppies become more confident, they'll relax, and hopefully, any other stress-related problems will dissipate. Whether your little one suffers from Puppy Separation Anxiety or is constantly causing Puppy Mayhem, your Pooch Academy trainer is there to advise you how to Puppy-Proof your home and help teach them the House Rules.

Is it really never too early to start training your puppy?

They say it's never too early to train a puppy, it's true, you can start the day you pick your puppy up. For this age range, we offer at-home 1-2-1 training sessions to give you a kick start. However, if you want to attend the puppy classes, you'll have to wait until they've had all their vaccines (at about 12 weeks). It's essential to keep everyone safe!
